He who loves his father or mother
more than me
is not worthy of me:
and he that loves his son or daughter
more than me
is not worthy of me.
Matthew 10:37
FIND YOUR OWN PATH
Didn’t you know that my place is in my Father’s house? Luke 2:49
STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE
And you shall be brought before governors and kings
for my sake,
as a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
But when they deliver you up,
take no thought how or what you shall speak:
for what you shall speak shall be given you in that same hour.
For it is not you that speaks,
but the Spirit of your Father which speaks in you. Matthew 10:18-20
-
Woe to you, religious scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites!
For you shut the doors of heaven against men.
You neither enter yourself,
nor let those who are entering go inside
Woe to you, religious scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites!
For you devour widow’s houses,
then make a great show out of your long prayers;
therefore you shall receive the greater damnation
Woe to you, religious scholars and Pharisees, hypocrites!
For you cross both sea and land to make one convert,
and when he is converted,
you make him twice the child of hell as yourself
Matthew 23:13-15
PRAY OFTEN
And all things that you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall
receive. Matthew 21:22 BE HUMBLE
For every one that exalts himself shall be humbled;
and he that humbles himself shall be exalted. Luke 8:14 TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
And why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye,
but never think about the plank in your own?
And how can you say to your brother
“Let me pull the speck out of your eye”
when the plank is in your own?
You hypocrite, first cast the plank out of your own eye,
and then you will see clearly
to pluck the speck out of your brother’s eye. Matthew 7:3-5 FORGIVE YOURSELF & MOVE FORWARD
When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man,
he walks through dry places, seeking rest, and finding none.
Then he says, “I will return into my house from where I came”
and when he returns, he finds it empty, swept, and tended.
Then he goes, and takes with him
seven other spirits more wicked than himself,
and they enter in and dwell there:
and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Matthew 12:43-45 DEVELOP YOUR TALENTS
He who received five talents came
and brought five other talents,
saying “Lord, you gave me five talents:
Behold, I have gained five additional ones as well.”
His lord said to him,
“Well done, you good and faithful servant:
you have been faithful over a few things,
I will make you ruler over many.
Enter into the joy of your lord.” Matthew 25:20-21 LIVE YOUR FAITH
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You shall know them by
their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so, every good tree brings forth good fruit, but a corrupt
tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil
fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree
that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the
fire. Therefore by their fruits you shall know them. Matthew 7:15-20 SERVE THE LEAST
Then the King shall say to those on his right hand,
“Come, you blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world:
For I was hungry and you gave me food;
thirsty, and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
naked and you clothed me;
sick and you visited me;
I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Then the righteous will answer, saying
“Lord, when did we see you hungry and fed you?
Or thirsty and gave you a drink?
When did we see you a stranger and took you in?
Or naked and clothed you?
And when did we see you sick, or in prison, and visited you?
And the King will answer, and say
“Truly, I tell you,
what you have done for one of the least of these my brothers,
you have done for me.” Matthew 25:34-40
BE INCLUSIVE
When Jesus heard it, he was astonished, and said to those that
followed, “Truly I tell you, I have not found faith this great within
the nation of Israel. And I tell you that many shall come from the
east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and
Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 8:10-11
VALUE EACH INDIVIDUAL
Two sparrows can be bought for a dime, yet not one of them
falls to the ground without your Father. But even the hairs on
your head are numbered. So do not be afraid, you are worth
more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29-31
FORGIVE THE SINS AND DEBTS OF OTHERS
Therefore, be merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge
not and you will not be judged; do not condemn and you shall
not be condemned; forgive, and you shall be forgiven. Give and
it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and
shaken together, and running over, shall men place in your lap.
For the same measurement that measures what you give will
measure what you receive. Luke 6:36-38
HONOR SERVICE
Among the unbelievers, those who rule flaunt their control over
their people, and those who are considered great are those who
wield authority. But it shall not be so for you. Whoever would
be great among you would be one who ministers to the others,
and whoever would be the chief of all must be the servant of all.
For the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to
minister, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:42-45 MENTOR OTHERS
You call me Master and Lord, and you speak well, for so I am.
If I, then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you
ought to also wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an
example, that you should do as I have done. Truly, truly I tell
you, the servant is not greater than his lord, neither is the
messenger greater than he who sends him. It is good to know
these things, but a blessing to do them. John 13:13-17

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you
shall eat; neither for the body, what you shall wear.
Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
Consider the ravens: for they neither plant nor harvest; they
neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them:
And how much better are you than the birds!
And which of you can add one inch to his height through
willpower? If you are not able to do that which is least, why
worry about the rest?
Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither work nor
spin, and yet I tell you that Solomon in all his glory was not
clothed as richly as one of them. If God so clothes the grass,
which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven;
how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?
And do not seek what you shall eat, or what you shall drink,
neither be you of doubtful mind. For all these things are sought
by those of every nation, and your Father knows that you have
need of these things. But rather seek the kingdom of God; and
all these things shall be added unto you.
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's desire to give you
the kingdom. Sell what you have, and give to charity; provide
yourselves containers that will not decay, a treasure in the
heavens that will not fail, that no thief can come near, and no
moth can destroy. For where your treasure is, there also will be
your heart. Luke 20:22-34
INVEST IN PEOPLE
Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two fishermen, Simon
called “Peter”, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the
sea. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you
fishers of men.” And they immediately left their nets, and
followed him. Matthew 4:18-20 BE BOLD
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock,
and the door shall be opened. For every one that asks receives;
and he that seeks finds; and to he that knocks shall the door be
opened. Luke 11:9-10 ATTEND TO THE DETAILS
He that is faithful in the smallest details is faithful in the large
things: and he that is unjust in the smallest details is unjust in
the large things. Luke 16:10
BE COMMITTED
And Jesus answered, saying, Martha, Martha, you are careful
and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary: and
Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away
from her. Luke 10:41-42
BE PERSISTENT
You will be hated by all men for my sake, but he who endures to
the end shall be saved. Matthew 10:22 BE OPEN MINDED
And there came a voice to him, saying
“Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.”
But Peter said,
“Do not say so Lord;
for I have never eaten any thing that is impure or unclean.”
And the voice spoke to him again, saying,
“Do not call impure that which God has cleansed.”
Acts of the Apostles 10:13-15 BE READY
The kingdom of heaven shall be compared to ten maidens,
who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. The foolish
took their lamps without any oil, but the wise took oil in
containers along with their lamps.
When the bridegroom was
slow in arriving, they all fell asleep. At midnight, the cry went
out “Behold, the bridegroom arrives, go out to meet him!”
Then all the maidens woke up and trimmed their lamps, and
the foolish said to the wise, “Give us your oil, for our lamps have
gone out.”
But the wise answered, “No, for there is not enough for both
of us, so instead, go and buy more.”
While they were buying oil, the bridegroom came, and those
that were ready went in with him to the wedding, and the door
was shut.
And afterwards the other maidens came, saying
“Lord, Lord, open the door for us.”
But he answered, saying
“Truly I tell you, I do not know you.”
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour
when the Son of Man shall come. Matthew 25:1-13
DO NOT RESIST
EVIL PERSONS
You have heard it said,
“An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:”
But I say unto you, “Do not resist those who do evil.” Matthew 5:39
LOVE GENEROUSLY
You have heard it said
“Love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.”
But I say to you
“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,
do good to those that hate you,
and pray for those who exploit you and persecute you;
that you might be the children of your Father which is in heaven;
for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good,
and sends the gift of rain both to the just and to the unjust.” Matthew 5:43-45
REFUSE YOUR
ADVERSARY’S GIFTS
Again, the devil took him up onto an exceedingly high mountain,
and showed him all the kingdoms of the world,
and the glory of them;
and said to him,
“All these things will I give thee,
if you will fall down and worship me.”
Then Jesus replied,
“Depart from me, Satan: for it is written,
“You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.” Matthew 4:8-10
-
When someone strikes you on one cheek, turn and offer him the
other cheek as well, and when someone takes your cloak, offer
him also your coat. Luke 6:29
REFRAME CONFLICT
“Tell us therefore, what do you think?
Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”
But Jesus perceived their wickedness and said,
“Why do you tempt me, you hypocrites?
Show me the money for the taxes.”
So they brought him a coin, and he asked them
“Whose picture and inscription are on this coin?”
When they answered “Caesar’s”, Jesus told them:
“Then give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar,
and to God what belongs to God.” Matthew 22:17-21

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
will also forgive you: But if you do not forgive men their
trespasses, your Father will also not forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15
